Why Multihulls?

“No Heel” Sailing. Most multihulls only heel 4-to-6 degrees compared to up to 45 degrees on monohulls. Level sailing is safer sailing, more comfortable with less fatigue and less danger of falling overboard. Multihulls are ‘family friendly’, level decks are great for entertaining. In the galley ‘less heeling’’ makes for easier meal preparation and less stress preparing snacks and meals. If you are prone to seasickness multihulls are for you.

Exhilarating Performance. Multihulls are faster than monohulls of the same length both upwind and downwind. They are lighter, giving superior motoring performance with less horse power requirements and better fuel economy.

Virtually Unsinkable. Unlike traditional monohull sailboats which must carry with them a heavy keel for stability, modern catamarans need no ballast, their stability comes from their wide beam. Our catamarans are primarily constructed of a foam-core sandwich with several watertight compartments making them virtually unsinkable.

Spacious. Multihulls and catamarans in particular offer large areas of deck space with huge cockpits and foredeck trampolines perfect for lounging.

Shallow Draft & Beachable. Multihulls are designed without deep keels and give you the advantage of shallow water sailing and even beaching when ordered with the optional daggerboards.

Sailing at Sunset

We are currently negotiating with several other innovative multihull designers to bring new and exciting catamaran and trimaran designs to the sailing community. We hope to offer many unique multihulls in several sizes to cater to a wide range of sailors and budgets. Please check out the ‘New Products’ page for further information. It will be updated regularly; 2009 promises to be another exciting year for us.

Lean and Green

We are constantly researching new technology and offer several new and exciting “green” drive alternatives. The large surface areas of multihulls make them regenerative electric driveperfect for large arrays of solar panels to recharge batteries and power electric drives. We can also incorporate regenerative electric drives to recharge batteries while sailing allowing you to break free of traditional fossil fuel consumption.
